
When we think about marketing ourselves it can sometimes seem overwhelming. There is an easy Eight step process. We call it "Visionlogic". Simply put this system is a logical way to reach the vision you have for your promoting your art and yourself.
Your Art can be a viable business, understanding this is the key to your success. Selling, showing, being asked to exhibit are usually the goal. The Visionlogic Marketing style will help to de-mystify the process of promoting you and your Art.
Visionlogic: Marketing your Art.
1. Define, understand and describe your “Art”.
What is your specific Art Discipline & Style/Genre’? Why? If you can speak clearly about your Art others will understand in an instant and you will have their attention.

2. Vision. What is your vision? Where do you see yourself this month, next year and in five years? To be focused on the sale or exhibiting of your Art it is important to have a vision, it is then simple to make a plan to get to your goal.
3. Who is your market? Is it the art show buyer, a collector, a gallery, commercial clients or a museum. The list is long and the answers are up to you and your specific goals.
4. Understand your ultimate end market. Where are they getting their information? Are they reading magazines, surfing around online or will they discover you at a Gallery or Art show. The trick is this, whoever they are you must be present in their particular sphere and look at yourself through their personal lens. (Empathy)
5. What is your position in the marketplace and how do you carve a niche’ that is specifically about your Art? Explore/Study other Artist’s, really look at their websites, blogs, gallery shows and any featured articles in books and magazines. This will inspire you to place yourself in a standout position. If they are attracting buyers, you will be as well.
6. How will you market yourself? In today’s marketplace it important to have a series of product that seamlessly work together in the “Viral Marketing” style. Simply put you will need the following to present yourself.
1. A Blog (updated at least 1 and preferably 4 times per month)
2. An Email Blast system ( Send a blast concurrent with each Blog posting)
3. A Facebook Fan page (Post concurrent with each Blog posting)
Another terrific way to promote yourself is to donate pieces of your Art to charitable functions, giving to your community or to causes you believe in is always good business.
7. Commitment. It is important to make a solid commitment when it comes to promoting your own Art, every step you take should honor your ultimate 5 year goal. Being successful, famous or collected is not about luck. It is the process of putting one foot in front of the other and doing the simple work on a consistent basis.
8. Believe. It is important to stay focused on your work. If you do good work, promote Art consistently, and believe in your work, you will have success. How mush success is up to you.
